No one and no thing can heal another human being. All healing is creative emergence, new birth, the manifestation of the powerful inner longing to be whole.

Mud Creek Steam Bathhouse
Mud Creek Spa is a place to heal the mind body and soul. Located in a beautiful mountain setting with clean air and pure water, one can experience a healing environment in a Traditional Finnish Steam Bath House.
The sauna in its different forms around the world has been used for thousands of years. The Finnish Steam Bath at Mud Creek Spa is modeled after a traditional bathhouse in Finland. A room for relaxing and cooling down, the shower room with a full bath and scrub table, and the steam room with a traditional wood stove made in Finland. For those who want a "cold" plunge after a hot steam, one can dip into the pond outside the door or roll in the snow during the winter. A great experience!
Finnish Steam Bath Treatment
First, you will enter the steam room filled with aromatherapy and take the appropriate amount of time to heat up and open your pores and stimulate circulation. This is followed with a shower and cooling down period. The next step is to enjoy a wonderful herbal soak or birch oil scrub. You then follow up with a good steam and cooling down period while hydrating with water and appropriate juices and fruits. This process can repeat itself and go for an hour or several hours depending on personal needs.
Chinese Qigong (Chi Kung) Medical Massage
In our travels to China, we go to a medical qigong training base, Hebei Qigong Hospital
and School, for doctors and healthcare practitioners interested in studying
medical Chinese massage therapy.
Based in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Medical Qigong massage is a "bright pearl" in
Chinese medical science. In China, it has been a traditional way for maintaining
good health for thousands of years and it is renowned for its "curing" effect.
It is characterized by applying special pressing and rubbing methods on certain
meridians, acupoints, muscles and skin areas with different parts of the palms
and fingers with various degrees of force. This promotes the flow of Qi and
blood in the meridians, regulating the functions of the visceral
organs, and nourishing the muscles. In China this massage is used for treating
and preventing diseases.
Japanese Hot Stone Massage
Based in the oldest form of East Asian Massage, Japanese Hot Stone Massage techniques create similar effects to moxibustion, in that heat penetrates and stimulates the acupressure points throughout the body. However, a hot stone massage combines techniques of acupuncture, moxibustion, and massage for a complete therapeutic treatment. The Japanese Hot "Goldstones" are applied throughout the body on key acupressure points and meridians. Special "Kobido" facials are offered with "disks of heaven".
